Public Private Partnership
With support of both the Vietnamese and Dutch Government, Culimer joined a Public Private Partnership targeting tuna fisheries in Vietnam, where input of governmental, scientific, and private parties leads to actions that can not be initiated by private parties only.
The PPP has actively supported the positive approach by Vietnam to join the Regional Fishery Management Organization WCPFC (Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission), a real necessity for a highly migratory species as yellowfin tuna.
Culimer is grateful and proud to see that WCPFC has accepted Vietnam in 2010 as cooperative non-member, working towards full membership.
